Russia sees no need to insist on dialog with the EU now. Vladislav Maslennikov, director of the Department of European Problems (DEP) of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told Izvestia.

"The EU has no desire to talk to Russia, and we see no need to insist on dialog now. We also do not see any signals from Brussels about readiness to restore dialog with us," he said.

Earlier, Vladislav Maslennikov said that European leaders will continue to impose ideas about the upcoming "war" with Russia on their society.

After the start of the special military operation (SWO), the European Union completely cut political ties with Russia. The association has imposed a total of 16 sanctions packages, and now the possibility of introducing additional restrictions is being discussed.
