In the village of Tumkino, Ulyanovsk region, a teenage girl was found in the basement of her own house with her throat slit. This was announced on April 4 by a source of Izvestia.

"Her mother spent the night with her boyfriend, the schoolgirl was alone at home. In the morning, the mother called her aunt, who lives opposite, and asked to find out why her daughter was not answering the phone. She went into the house and saw traces of blood that stretched to the cellar. I looked in, and there was a girl with her throat cut," the source said.

Information about the whereabouts of the schoolgirl's body was confirmed by the Russian Interior Ministry. According to the official representative of the department Irina Volk, the schoolgirl was 14 years old.

An investigative task force arrived at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

In January, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Buryatia reported that a 17-year-old girl died in an apartment in Ulan-Ude, she was found in the toilet after she locked herself in the room with an electronic cigarette. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
