Inspections were carried out at previously burned timber warehouses in the EAO

In Birobidzhan, raid measures were carried out at warehouses with wood waste and sawdust. This is due to the beginning of a fire-hazardous period in the Eastern Administrative District.

According to IA EAOmedia with reference to the city administration, on the eve of April 3, representatives of the mayor's office met with entrepreneurs, owners of the territory near the village of DSM, where there are several such warehouses. They were reminded of the need to comply with safety regulations in a fire-prone period.

The mayor's office said that in previous years the situation in this territory was not easy.: there were constant fires there. Residents of not only the village, but also Birobidzhan suffered from smoke and burning.

The situation has changed for the better thanks to the efforts of the authorities and the entrepreneurs themselves. The heads of organizations have been clearing the sites of wood waste, and fires have been avoided for two years in a row.

Earlier, on April 3, it was reported that six wildfires had been recorded in the EAO over the past two days. They are located outside the settlements in the Leninsky and Oktyabrsky districts. Since the beginning of the year, 17 thermal points have been registered in the autonomous region. This is much less compared to the same period in 2024. At that time, there were already 353 of them at the beginning of April.
