VK Music has updated its recommendation system. Thanks to the update of the recommendation system, listeners became 35% more likely to add tracks from VK Mix to their playlists and put 30% fewer dislikes. This was announced on April 2 by the VK press service.

It is noted that VK Mix has a new recommendation mechanism that increases the diversity of the music stream for listeners.

VK Music has begun to analyze user preferences and their musical patterns even more deeply, which has increased the number of relevant recommended tracks and artists by more than six times.

In addition, it is reported that VK Music users began to put 30% fewer dislikes, add 35% more tracks from VK Mix to their playlists and 77% more often add tracks to My Music through the "Mix by Track" function. Listeners are more likely to discover new music and new artists, and the number of track repeats has decreased 10-fold. The new recommendation mechanism is implemented in the VK Mix section and inside its main settings, in "Vibes", as well as in the "Mix by track" and in the "Compiled by algorithms" block ("Discoveries", "New Items", "Playlist of the Day" and other personal playlists).

In the fall, VK Music introduced the largest service update in 17 years. The main change was the redesign of the VK Music app and the VKontakte music section, which are designed in the same style. Key sections and the service's recommendation system have also been updated.
