A criminal case has been opened into a gas explosion in a high-rise building in Makhachkala.

On March 25, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan opened a criminal case on the provision of unsafe services following a gas explosion in a multi-storey building in Makhachkala.

"The Investigative Department for the Leninsky district of Makhachkala of the SU IC of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Dagestan has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in serious harm to health)," the department's Telegram channel says.
