A trial will be held in Paris against 76-year-old actor Gerard Depardieu in a case of possible harassment on his part against other participants in the filming of the film "Green Waves". This was reported by Le Temps on March 23.

"On Monday, March 24, and on Tuesday, March 25, the Paris Criminal Court is finally due to hold the trial of Gerard Depardieu in the case of sexual assaults that he allegedly committed in September 2021 on the set of Jean Becker's film Green Waves," the newspaper informs.

It is clarified that the trial was originally scheduled to take place in October 2024, but was postponed due to Depardieu's health condition at the request of his lawyer. Two women have made accusations against the actor — 53-year-old decorator Amelie and a 33-year-old assistant director, whose name has not been disclosed.

In France, other criminal cases of sexual harassment are already underway against Depardieu. At the same time, he has always denied any accusations against him.

The beginning of the harassment trial was announced in October 2024. The actor was accused of sexual assault by two participants in the filming of the film "Green Shutters" in 2021. Subsequently, in 2025, Depardieu became involved in a criminal case on tax fraud. The actor is accused of tax evasion and money laundering on an especially large scale. In addition, he is suspected of fictitious residence in Belgium since 2013.
