On Wednesday, March 19, the US National Archives, by order of President Donald Trump, published declassified documents on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, his brother, politician Robert, and black rights activist Martin Luther King.

"This web page was created in response to the decree "Declassification of records relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy. John F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.", signed by President Donald Trump on January 23," reads a statement on the archive's website.

The collection of recordings about the assassination of President Kennedy consists of more than 6 million pages of recordings, photographs, films, sound recordings and artifacts.

Earlier, on January 24, The New York Post reported that Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of former 35th US President John F. Kennedy, criticized Trump for his decision to declassify documents about the circumstances of his grandfather's case. He also stressed that he sees nothing heroic in this act.

Prior to that, on January 23, Trump announced that he would declassify all remaining files concerning the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy (1961-1963), his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
