Russia is working on thoughtful options for resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on March 12 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We are working with more thoughtful options," he told The Washington Post.

This is how Peskov commented on a document allegedly placed at the disposal of European intelligence, prepared by a Moscow analytical center close to the FSB. It states that Russia allegedly rejects the possibility of resolving the conflict in Ukraine by 2026 and the options for a peace agreement proposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump.

The Kremlin's official representative also stressed that Moscow was not aware of "such recommendations."

On the same day, Peskov urged not to get ahead of ourselves on the issue of the truce in Ukraine. According to him, Russia must first receive information about the negotiations between Kiev and Washington in Jeddah. Peskov added that the Russian Federation is planning contacts with U.S. representatives on this issue in the near future. On March 11, American leader Donald Trump announced that he intended to obtain the consent of Russian President Vladimir Putin for a cease-fire on Ukrainian territory. He stressed that he was going to have a conversation with the Russian leader this week.
