Zeman called Trump the only leader capable of resolving the Ukrainian crisis

Former Czech President Milos Zeman said that US President Donald Trump has become the only world leader in whose power to end the conflict in Ukraine. He said this on March 9 on the Czech TV channel CNN.

"Trump doesn't care about Europe, only the United States is important to him, but he is the only one who can negotiate peace," he said.

At the same time, Zeman pointed out that in this situation, the American leader acts as a pragmatist, trying to teach his country about Ukrainian minerals.

"His interest is for American miners to be able to extract minerals in Ukraine. That's all," he said.

Ukraine has expressed readiness for dialogue with the United States, but the Kiev regime remains self-barred from contacts with Moscow.

Earlier in the day, Trump confirmed the expectation of a deal with Ukraine on rare earths. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick also said on March 3 that the United States and Ukraine would soon sign an agreement on minerals, which was disrupted by the altercation between Trump and Zelensky. The politician pointed out that this agreement, once concluded, would be the path to a strong and lasting economic partnership between Washington and Kiev.
