The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the liberation of Andreevka in the DPR
On March 7, the Russian Ministry of Defense showed footage of the combat work of the assault units of the 114th Motorized Rifle brigade of the Center group of forces, during which the settlement of Andreevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) was liberated.
"During the offensive operations, the assault units carefully planned their actions. Calculations of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) revealed firing positions, enemy personnel concentrations, as well as camouflaged positions of UAV crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
It is specified that the fighters first hit and destroyed the main enemy firing points with the help of attack drones, and then carried out a sweep of Andreevka in small groups.
"After a complete sweep of the Andreevka settlement, soldiers of the 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st army of the Center group of forces set up the flag of the Russian Federation and the recognizable flag of the brigade," the military department concluded.
The release of Andreevka was reported a day earlier, on March 6. In the area of responsibility of the 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade, enemy troops lost more than 590 soldiers, two vehicles and three armored fighting vehicles, two artillery pieces, as well as an American-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare station.
