The movie "The Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin" starring Yura Borisov topped the box office in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for the second weekend in a row. The corresponding rating published on the portal of the Unified Automated Information System (UAIS).

Over the weekend from February 20 to 23, the picture earned about 250 million rubles. In total in Russia was held 26.8 thousand sessions, which were attended by more than 500 thousand viewers.

At the same time, the budget of the film amounted to 800 million rubles. The motion picture was produced thanks to state support from the Cinema Fund. The director was Felix Umarov.

Earlier, Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica announced on February 25 at the festival "Kustendorf" that Yura Borisov will play a role in his new film "How I didn't make "Crime and Punishment. He noted that the events of the motion picture not only reflect his own experience, but also relate to the conflicts presented in the work.
