Mishustin approved the allocation of 44 billion rubles for payments to residents of the Kursk region

About 44 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for payments to residents of Kursk Region who have lost essential property. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on February 23.

"Residents of Kursk region, whose property of first necessity was lost, will receive monthly payments in the amount of 65 thousand rubles," reads the publication on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the document, the decision will affect over 112 thousand Kursk residents who lived on the territory of the region during the introduction of the regime of counter-terrorist operation and emergency situation on August 6 last year.

This instruction was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 18 during a meeting with the government.

On the same day, the head of state said that the authorities of Kursk region and the Ministry of Finance are working out the issue of providing additional support to residents of the border region. Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov specified that the Kursk residents had already been paid Br150 thousand for the loss of property.
