The premiere of the catastrophe series "Chelyuskin. The First" took place in Moscow

The premiere of the series "Chelyuskin. The first" about the real disaster of the infamous ship during the passage of the Northern Sea Route in the 30s of XX century took place on February 12 in Moscow. About the project told the correspondent of "Izvestia".

Filming of the series, created with the participation of the National Media Group, took place in the Far North and on a real icebreaker. New graphic technologies made it possible to recreate on the screens the story of the steamship wreck and the heroism of people who drifted on an ice floe in the Arctic for two months waiting for rescue.

At the premiere, among others, spoke performers of the main roles Stasia Miloslavskaya and Gleb Kalyuzhny, as well as CEO of NMG Studios Dmitry Tabarchuk and producer Fyodor Bondarchuk.

"This is the most difficult project in my life," Bondarchuk admitted.

The series was filmed in Chukotka at -50 degrees Celsius, some of the scenes - on the real icebreaker "Krasin". The game in such conditions appreciated Miloslavskaya, who played the role of a meteorologist.

"Working on these screens turned out to be very interesting. Honestly, with my humanitarian brain I never understood how they worked. There sat a group that launched the wind, launched the sky," - said the actresses.

According to the plot during the expedition there is an emergency situation, evacuation begins and urgent unloading on the ice and waiting for help. Otto Schmidt in the series is played by Kirill Kyaro, and actor Dmitry Kulichkov performs the role of the captain of the steamer, interested in the survival of the team. The hero of Kalyuzhny - a fictional character - falls in love with the heroine Miloslavskaya.

"For such a huge period of filming - two years we filmed - I learned a lot of things. I learned how to control dogs," Kalyuzhny shared.

The grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the Chelyuskinites were also invited to the premiere of the director Stepan Korshunov.
