Rosstandart told about the tricks of certification of Chinese trucks
Vehicles that do not meet the mandatory requirements of the Russian technical regulations, in some cases, may receive certification documents with "golden samples" of equipment. This was reported to Izvestia on February 12 by the press service of Rosstandart, commenting on the ban on sales and import of Shacman SX3258 trucks in Russia.
"In practice, there are cases of submitting "golden samples" for certification purposes, meeting all safety requirements. Unfortunately, subsequently, changes are made to the design of the subsequently sold vehicles, reducing production costs and, as a consequence, the level of safety", - explained in Rosstandart.
The federal agency emphasized that in the process of certification Shacman SX3258 for importation into the territory of the Russian Federation all mandatory requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union CU 018/2011 were confirmed.
On February 10, it became known that Rosstandart withdrew the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) for Shacman SX3258 trucks. The reason is associated with the identified in the course of inspections of non-compliance of this model of dump truck to a number of mandatory requirements for vehicles. It is about noise restrictions, rear underride and side guards and so on. Sales and imports of the model were banned.
Later in Rosstandart explained that the owners of Shacman SX3258 trucks, the sale and import of which in Russia were stopped after the recall of the vehicle type approval (VTA) for this model, can continue to use these dump trucks. The official representative of the Shacman truck manufacturer in Russia is already developing the recall campaign.
