Putin instructed to consider the feasibility of introducing behavioral assessment in schools

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the advisability of introducing behavioral assessments in schools. This follows from the list of instructions following a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, published on the Kremlin website.

"The Government of the Russian Federation together with the interdepartmental working group on the development of the education system, the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to organize a discussion with the professional and parental communities on the feasibility <...> of introducing behavioral assessments in general educational organizations," the document reads

The relevant report should be submitted by July 1 this year.

In addition, Putin instructed to consider the introduction of an integral assessment of the mastery of basic general education programs by schoolchildren and its consideration when entering professional educational organizations and universities.

Earlier, February 6, Putin instructed to update school programs in mathematics and natural sciences. He also proposed to modernize the program of higher educational institutions and increase the share of practical training in modern design and construction tools in it.
