Association with Ukrainian billionaire Gerega placed on the list of terrorists in Russia

Rosfinmonitoring has added to the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation an association that includes Ukrainian billionaire Oleksandr Gerega and his wife. This is reported on February 7 on the website of the Department.

"The list of terrorists and extremists (included): National part.... Organizations:. 1. Association, whose members are: Gerega Alexander Vladimirovich <...>, Gerega Galina Fedorovna", - stated in the list.

Earlier, on October 3, 2024, it became known about the arrest of Gerega's property in Russia. According to the documents, it was arrested back in April.

Alexander Gerega - Deputy of several convocations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, including the current one. He is the founder and co-owner of the Epicenter chain of stores and the New Line chain of construction hypermarkets.

Gerega was on Forbes Ukraine's list of the country's richest people in 2021. He has been under Russian sanctions since 2018.
