Mishustin reports to Putin on 8.4% growth in real incomes of Russians
Real incomes of Russians grew by 8.4% over the year. This was reported by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 7.
He emphasized that it was especially important for the government to increase this very indicator.
"We have real money income of the population increased by 8.4%, which exceeded the forecast," the Russian Prime Minister said.
Mishustin added that real wages rose by 8.7% in 11 months. He explained that this means that inflation has failed to reduce household incomes.
Mishustin also added that unemployment in Russia remained at 2.3%. In 2024, it did not exceed the figure of 2.5%, he specified.
Earlier, on February 1, the State Duma told about changes in social payments and benefits in February. It was reported that on February 1, their amount will increase by 9.5%. By the same figure will be indexed and maternity capital. The maximum payment under the program will now amount to Br912 thousand.
Last November 23, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the real wages of citizens in Russia are increasing, including in new regions. The growth is more than 15%, he noted. The presidential spokesman recalled that a system of salary supplements is in place for a number of Russians, such as servants and employees of law enforcement agencies.
On October 29, Putin approved the minimum wage (MROT) for 2025 in the amount of 22,440 rubles. In September, Mishustin said at a government meeting that the task of the Russian government is to bring the minimum wage to the level of 35,000 rubles by 2030.
