Patrushev pointed to the Lipetsk region's leadership in agro-industrial complex development

The Lipetsk region remains among the leaders in the development of the agro-industrial complex (AIC). This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev at a working meeting with the Governor of the region Igor Artamonov on February 7.

He specified that the region ranks first in the country in the production of vegetables in closed ground in agricultural organizations, as well as processed potatoes.

Artamonov, in turn, noted the attractiveness of the region for investors. The governor shared that from 2019 to 2024 the amount of funds invested in the Lipetsk region amounted to over 200 billion rubles. Also, more than 4 thousand jobs were created on the territory of the region.

It is specified that since 2019, the volume of exports of agricultural products has increased 2.5 times, which contributed to the inclusion of the region in the list of the 10 best subjects of Russia in this area.

In addition to the development of agro-industrial complex, at the meeting Patrushev and Artamonov discussed education. It is noted that there are 18 agrarian classes in the region, 80% of which graduates later become students of colleges and universities in agrarian fields.

In addition, Lipetsk region has the first in the country Agroquantorium, where students are familiarized with agricultural machinery.

The region has also successfully implemented measures within the framework of the national project "Ecology" and demonstrated a good result in the field of solid municipal waste management, 53% of which is treated at recycling facilities.
