At least two people killed when plane crashes into cars in Brazil

A small airplane crashed in the city of Sao Paulo in Brazil, killing at least two people and injuring two others. This was reported on February 7 by local portal G1.

"A small plane crashed around 07:20 am (13:20 Moscow time - Ed.) on Friday (February 7. - Ed.) on an avenue in Barra Funda, in the western zone of São Paulo. At least two dead and two injured", - stated in the publication.

It is specified that the plane fell on a bus and a car that were standing on the street, as a result of which the bus caught fire.

It is noted that two charred bodies were found inside the plane. In addition, a motorcyclist who was passing on the road at the time of the plane's crash sustained injuries due to being hit by debris from the aircraft, and a bus driver was also injured.

"The plane attempted to make an emergency landing on the avenue's runway but failed to do so and eventually crashed," the publication specified.

Police will establish the causes and possible perpetrators of the accident.

Earlier, on February 2, passengers of the plane of the American airline United Airlines, which was to depart from Houston to New York, were evacuated after the plane caught fire during takeoff. According to the TV station, the airliner developed engine problems during takeoff. Passengers from the portholes noticed an ignition in the wing area.
