The average price of Chinese used cars decreased by 15-19%

In Russia, cars of a number of Chinese brands in the secondary market became cheaper over the year, the price decreased by 15-19%. This was reported to "Izvestia" on February 7 by the experts of "Avito Auto".

Analysts studied the average prices for cars with mileage costing more than 1.5 thousand rubles in January 2025 and compared them with the data of a year ago. It turned out that the indicator as a whole in the segment has not changed much, but there is a trend to reduce the average price of individual brands and models.

The most noticeable decrease in the average price of cars with mileage brand Changan: the change amounted to 19.2%. In second place is the Korean brand Genesis, whose cars lost 18% in price. The average price of Geely cars decreased by 16.5% over the year, and Exeed - by 15.7%. Tank brand cars on the "secondary market" fell in price by 15%.

BMW X5 became the leader in cost reduction among the models with mileage: it lost 30.5% of its price over the year. The average price for Chevrolet Tahoe decreased by 23.5%, and for Volkswagen Multivan - by 23.2%. The fourth place in this rating was taken by Porsche Cayenne (-23%), closing the five Honda Stepwgn Spada (-21.4%).

Earlier in the day it was reported that in 2024, a significant increase in prices for both original and non-original parts for cars of European and Japanese brands, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen, was recorded. First of all, this applies to body parts, optics, electronics and complex units such as automatic transmissions and engines.
