40 more traffic violation cameras were installed on the roads of the Krasnoyarsk region

On the roads of the Krasnoyarsk Territory 40 more cameras for photo-video registration of traffic violations have been installed. This is reported by the regional Department of highways.

"Works on installation and adjustment of equipment are fully completed. Testing of complexes has been carried out, which confirmed their readiness to function in a round-the-clock mode with the given technical characteristics", - said the deputy head of the regional management of highways Mikhail Builov.

The cameras will record speeding, driving on the oncoming traffic, not having headlights on, turning and turning in prohibited places, non-compliance with road signs and markings, driving on "red" and other violations, including the driver talking on the phone or ignoring the seat belt.

It is expected that 40 more such cameras will be put into operation by the end of May, KrasnoyarskMedia IA writes. So far, 71 mobile and 165 stationary complexes are operating on the region's roads.

According to Sergey Molyavko, the acting head of the State Automobile Inspection of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region, the locations of the equipment are determined by the specialists of the department on the basis of road reports. Over the past five years, the automatic fixation system has helped to eliminate more than 600 accidents.
