The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to tighten certification of foreign cars
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia considers it necessary to tighten certification procedures for foreign automobile equipment for the Russian market. This was stated by the head of the department Anton Alikhanov on February 5 at the meeting of the commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of "Industry".
"Chinese automakers, in general, are quite actively penetrating into our market, gaining an increasing share. In order to restore the balance, the ministry is consistently indexing the scrappage fee. But this is not enough. We need more rigid work on certification and especially - on checking the compliance of cars from serial batches", - "Interfax" quotes his words.
According to Alikhanov, the ministry has already analyzed trucks, and "revealed serious violations on cars of three Chinese brands, which "simply cannot be allowed on the roads."
"We will take measures on such cases, up to the revocation of the certificate, and work with the General Prosecutor's Office. This is extremely necessary, given that the demand for trucks may drop by a quarter," - said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Earlier, January 23 "Izvestia" reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation prepared a draft government decree providing for indexation of the recycling fee for some types of trucks.
