Two flares penultimate class of power recorded on the Sun on Wednesday, February 5, in the morning. This was reported in the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FGBU "IPG").

"February 5 at 6:15 Moscow time in the X-ray range in the group of spots 3981 (N06W00) registered flare M1.2 with a duration of 10 minutes", - stated in the message FGBU "IPG".

After that, at 10:50, there was a more powerful flare M2.7 with a duration of 13 minutes.

In the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy IKI RAS and ISSP SB RAS specified that the centers of solar activity will remain in the zone of direct influence on the Earth for at least 2-3 more days, RT reports.

The day before, the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute for Space Research (IKI RAS) reported that 40 flares were registered on the Sun over two days, 13 of which were of M class.

Scientists noted that really strong explosions on the Sun have not been registered, as the energy is still only wasted on many small events.

Solar flares, depending on the power of X-ray radiation are divided into five classes: A, B, C, M and maximum X.

The previous solar flare was reported by the Fedorov Institute of Applied Geophysics on January 21. It lasted 48 minutes, it was categorized as M3.3.

Earlier, January 23, there was an ejection of black plasma on the Sun, reports NSN.
