The Kremlin assessed Zelensky's words about readiness for talks with Putin
The words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024) about his readiness for talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin are regarded as empty. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 5.
"Readiness must rest on something, readiness and willingness. It can not rest on a legislative ban on such negotiations for Zelensky. Therefore, so far except as empty words it is impossible to perceive it," - he said at a briefing.
