Head of Moscow Figure Skating Federation arrested in absentia
Meshchansky district court of Moscow has issued a sanction for the arrest of Anton Abdurakhmanov, head of the Figure Skating Federation of the capital, chairman of the board of directors of Bamstroyput OJSC. This was reported on January 31 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow in Telegram-channel.
"The resolution of the Meshchansky district court of Moscow satisfied the petition of the preliminary investigation bodies to elect a measure of restraint in the form of remand in custody against Anton Abdurakhmanov," - stated in the statement.
It is specified that he is accused of fraud on a large scale. The court elected him a measure of restraint in the form of detention, for a period of two months from the moment of his actual detention on the territory of Russia.
Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that Abdurakhmanov left Russia. It was specified that the departure of the president of the federation occurred "for legal reasons," but no details were given. The federation tried to organize work in a normal mode, but the leadership of Moskomsport had already received information about the departure of the functionary.
