Three underage schoolchildren and six parents from the state of Virginia were killed in a plane crash in Washington. The local school board's press office said Jan. 30.
"At this time we know that three of our students and six of our parents were lost," - stated in the message of the press service.

On the night of January 30, an American Airlines passenger plane and a Black Hawk military helicopter collided near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. After the crash, they fell into the Potomac River. A total of 60 passengers and four crew members were aboard the plane. There were three military personnel in the helicopter. The television company NBC News reported that the bodies of more than 30 victims were extracted from the water.
