A civilian resident was wounded as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the town of Alyoshki in Kherson Region. Earlier, on January 29, it was reported that a civilian resident of the city of Dzerzhynsk suffered as a result of an attack by the AFU.

Before that, on January 27, four residents of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) were injured by AFU shelling. The head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, specified that all of them were provided with the necessary medical care. At that time it was noted that the AFU made more than 20 attacks with artillery shells of 122-millimeter and 155-millimeter caliber, including cluster type.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
