In the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), a 40-year-old resident of the city of Horlivka was sentenced to 11 years in prison for espionage in favor of Ukraine. This was reported in the press service of the regional Prosecutor's office on January 29.
"The Supreme court of the Donetsk people's Republic passed a sentence in a criminal case against a 40-year-old resident of the city of Gorlovka", - stated in the publication of the Department on the website.
She was found guilty under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").
The court found that from February to June 2023, the defendant, working as a teacher of Russian language and literature in a city school, collected and transferred to an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine information about the number and location of Russian servicemen receiving medical care in a military hospital.
"The transferred data could have been used to launch fire strikes on the locations of Russian wounded military personnel," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
Earlier, on January 27, it was reported that the Supreme Court of the DNR sentenced 40-year-old Georgian citizen Nikolos Berianidze to life imprisonment for killing three Russian soldiers as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
