Group of troops "North" destroyed an AFU pickup truck in Kharkiv region
The military reconnaissance unit of the North group of forces has destroyed a pickup truck of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kharkiv Region using an FPV drone. The Russian Defense Ministry published objective control footage of the direct hit on January 29.
The ministry said that the enemy vehicle was detected near a forest belt while transporting AFU fighters for rotation at their positions.
"After analyzing the intelligence, a decision was made to fire on the AFU pickup truck with an electronic warfare complex installed on it. The detected target was promptly destroyed by the FPV drone's calculation", - noted in the department.
Earlier on January 29, the Russian Defense Ministry also published footage of the destruction by the military unit of the troops "Center" with the help of drones of firing points and command and observation posts of Ukrainian militants in Novoelizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The fighters used attack drones. On the same day, it was reported that Russian troops liberated Novoebolizavetovka in the DNR.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
