Russian tankers destroyed a UAV control center and an AFU grenade launcher crew
Crews of T-90M Breakthrough tanks of the All-Russian Army of the Zapad group of forces have destroyed a platoon stronghold, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control point and a SPG-9 grenade launcher of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militants in the zone of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 28.
"The targets are mainly the first line of defense behind the LBS, the line of combat contact. These are both strongholds and dugouts. The equipment is new, it works well," said the tank commander with the call sign Kish.
The T-90 "Breakthrough" tank crews received coordinates of the enemy's exact location and then, using the terrain, moved to combat positions and opened fire on the enemy. The tankers are capable of striking at a considerable distance from the target while remaining out of direct line of sight. After completing a combat mission, the crews move to a safe location so that the enemy cannot track their location.
In addition, the successful work of the units is facilitated by the comprehensive and timely provision of shells, fuel and lubricants and equipment.
Earlier, on January 27, it was reported that the crew of a T-80BV tank of a separate motorized rifle brigade of the 3rd Army Corps destroyed a Ukrainian tank and an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) with two targeted hits in the Chasovyar direction of the SSE zone.
