The Rutube library includes 388 million pieces of content

The Rutube library currently has 388 million pieces of content, with an increase of 60 million videos in the last three months alone. This was announced on Wednesday, April 2, by Sergey Kosinsky, Deputy General Director, head of the digital unit of Gazprom-Media Holding, which includes the video service.

The growth of viewing was recorded in all categories of content. This is due, among other things, to the replenishment of the library. The most popular video categories among viewers this year were entertainment content and video games (22.79%), TV series and movies (10.62%), children's content and cartoons (9.86%).

According to Kosinsky, in addition to hosting entertaining and useful content, the platform actively cooperates with bloggers and opinion leaders who produce content on socially significant and political topics. To date, more than 660 such authors are represented on Rutube, and many are hosted exclusively on the platform.

"In March, the number of such content exceeded 200 thousand videos with a total number of views of more than 100 million. These include author's blogs in the format of short reviews of current events, interviews with experts, as well as socio-political programs," said the top manager.

Earlier it was reported that Rutube's monthly audience in February was 77 million users. Compared to the same period last year, the indicator increased by 72%. In addition, the number of views exceeded 4.2 billion, and the total viewing time increased by more than six times.
