Russian Air Force aircraft attacked the AFU deployment point in the Novodmitrovka area
Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) struck the temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces assault brigade Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the settlement of Novodmitrovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Friday, January 24.
"Thanks to the use of the FAB-1500 high—explosive aerial bomb, equipped with a universal planning and correction module, the target was destroyed by a direct hit," the ministry said in a statement.
The objective control footage shows the precise impact and the subsequent violent explosion.
Earlier that day, an army aviation crew on a Mi-28 helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group href="https://iz.ru/1827510/2025-01-24/ekipaz-mi-28-sorval-rotaciu-podrazdelenii-vsu-v-prigranicnom-raione-kurskoi-oblasti " target="_blank">disrupted the rotation of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border area of the Kursk region. It was clarified that during the support of the ground forces, army aviation pilots launched missiles at specified coordinates and hit armored vehicles, as well as manpower of the Ukrainian formations.
