- Moscow will raise the fine for non-payment of parking for legal entities up to 50 thousand rubles.
The Moscow City Duma is planning to increase the fine for non-payment of parking in the capital ten times for legal entities-owners of motor vehicles. The amount will increase from 5 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, reports "Kommersant".
The faction "United Russia" introduced in the Moscow City Duma amendments to the capital CAO in November last year, and on January 23 the document was discussed by the Commission of the City Parliament on transport and approved it.
The Moscow City Duma said that the share of fines for non-payment for parking by legal entities is growing, and most often "taxi and logistics companies" are held liable. The current sanction is ineffective, as violators often leave cars for the whole day near schools, MFCs, hospitals, as well as in parking lots, where the tariff can reach 800 rubles per hour.
Stepan Orlov, vice-speaker of the Moscow City Duma, emphasized that fines are collected solely for the prevention of violations, and not to replenish the city treasury. Collections from paid parking go to the improvement of territories, in 2024 the amount amount amounted to 9.8 billion rubles, noted in the note.
The day before it was reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia proposed to change the procedure for drawing up protocols in the detection of drunk drivers by traffic inspectors. The draft federal law is undergoing a procedure of public discussion. Now, when identifying a driver with signs of intoxication it is necessary to draw up from three to five procedural documents. Drawing up these protocols in a number of cases seems redundant, the Interior Ministry said.
