Actor Petrov talked to "Izvestia" about the shooting of "Vasily" in Mexico City

Actor Alexander Petrov in an interview with "Izvestia" said that the movie "Vasily" interested him at the stage of working out the idea of the picture, and also shared his impressions of filming in Mexico.

"I usually choose scripts so: read the first page. And realize whether I like it or not. Here I was interested already at the level of the idea, when many years ago, the studio "Hydrogen" and producers Misha Vrubel and Sasha Andryushchenko said that the project is being prepared about two twin brothers. I immediately said yes," Petrov shared.

He said that while in Mexico City on the set, he felt safe. There were times when local members of the film crew advised not to go to certain places that are considered unsafe, or not to drive at night on specific parts of the highway.

"No one told us go there - don't go here. The filming was prepared in advance by a Mexican production company. There on the spot know well where you can shoot, who to negotiate with, whether you need security or police. <...> If you are prepared and you have an understanding of how and what to do, everything goes smoothly, "- commented the actor.
