An air defense missile system Tor-M2 of the Dnipro group of troops has shot down a group of NATO cruise missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies above Zaporizhzhya Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 24.

In the course of combat duty, the crew identified a group of air targets. After reporting to the command post, the Tor-M2 SAM calculation of the Dnepr group of forces hit the AFU cruise missiles.

"We work on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), on anti-radar missiles. Here the other day shot down tactical cruise missiles. There are missiles called dummy missiles. They are launched at an altitude of 2.5 thousand. They do not carry anything, they just fly to nowhere, sometimes they also launch balloons at an altitude of 4-5 thousand to distract our air defense (air defense), to defuse combat vehicles," - said the chief of the calculation with the call sign Kursk.

Earlier, on January 20, artillerymen of the anti-tank division of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Dnipro group of troops hit a group of AFU infantry, which was in a residential building, and a warehouse with ammunition of the enemy on the Orekhovsky direction in Zaporizhzhya region. Artillerymen work every day, can use different types of ammunition for work.
