US President Donald Trump has announced that he will declassify all remaining files relating to the assassinations of President (1961-1963) John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. This was reported by CBS News on January 23.

It is specified that on this day the US leader signed an executive order at the White House ordering the declassification of files related to these assassinations.

"This is an important executive order, right? Many people have been waiting for this for a long time - years, decades," Trump commented.

Earlier, on December 11, 2024, it was reported that former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy - Jr. nominated for the post of Secretary of Health and Human Services in the future Trump administration wants to prove that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in the assassination of his uncle.
