Foreign destinations popular with Russian tourists have been named
Belarus, Turkey, and Thailand were among the foreign destinations popular among Russians during the New Year holidays, the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG) reported, referring, among other things, to the data of the services "Ostrovok" and "Travel in T-Bank". "Izvestia" got acquainted with the information of experts on January 24.
The top 10 foreign destinations also included Uzbekistan, UAE, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, China, Italy. The largest increase in bookings was shown by Vietnam (+44%), Kazakhstan (+39%) and Hungary (+31%), as well as Indonesia (+28%), Malaysia (+22%), Georgia (+19%), Uzbekistan and Japan (+12%). There was also an increase in the popularity of Dubai - one and a half times.
At the same time, the average cost of a booked night abroad amounted to Br13.8 thousand - 10% more than a year earlier.
Earlier, on January 14, it was reported that in February more tourists will go on trips around the country. This follows from the data of the service for travel planning OneTwoTrip. Thus, the share of hotel bookings in Russia for the year increased by 8% and is 43%. The most sought-after cities for tourists were Moscow, Esto-Sadok, St. Petersburg.
January 22, it was reported that, according to OneTwoTrip, Russians have become more likely to travel with children. Most often Russian families choose apartments and guest houses: they account for 35% of orders. Four-star hotels are also in demand (32%).
