Eight people injured in a school bus accident near Volgograd hospitalized
As a result of a road accident with a school bus on the highway near Volgograd, eight people were injured and hospitalized. This was reported on January 23 by the Assistant Minister of Health of Russia Alexei Kuznetsov.
"Eight victims of the road accident in the Volgograd region, including seven children, were hospitalized in the Oktyabrskaya CRB," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Kuznetsov emphasized that the injured are given all the necessary help and are being examined.
Children will be evacuated for treatment to hospitals in Volgograd by medical brigades, the assistant health minister added. He said that telemedicine consultations with specialists from the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health are planned to be held afterwards.
Theaccident with a school bus and a passenger car occurred on the highway Volgograd - Kotelnikovo - Salsk earlier in the day. The management of the regional State Automobile Inspectorate and the investigative and operational team of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Oktyabrsky district went to the scene of the accident. It was specified that a child died as a result of the accident.
