Tennis player Sobolenko defeated Badosa and reached the final of the Australian Open

World No. 1 Arina Sobolenko of Belarus defeated Spain's Paula Badosa to reach the final of the Australian Open. The meeting was held on January 23 in Melbourne.

The game ended with the score 6:4, 6:2 in favor of Sobolenko. The sportswomen spent 1 hour and 26 minutes on the court.

In the final the representative of Belarus will play with the winner of the match between American Maddison Keys and Iga Schwentek from Poland.

Arina Sobolenko is the champion of the Australian Open 2023 and 2024.

Earlier, on January 22, the world number one, Italy's Yannick Cinner defeated Australia 's Alex de Minaur and reached the semifinals of the Australian Open. The meeting ended with a score of 6:3, 6:2, 6:1. Sinner will play American Ben Shelton in the semifinals.
