Biathlete Khalili won the individual race at the Russian Championships

Biathlete Karim Khalili won the 20km individual race at the Russian Championships. The race was held on January 23 in Demino, Yaroslavl Region.

Khalili was able to cover the distance in 52 minutes 22.2 seconds, while making one miss at the four crossing points. The silver medalist was Eduard Latypov, who was 26.3 seconds behind his rival, having made three penalties. And the third place was taken by Nikita Porshnev, he passed the distance with two misses and 30 seconds behind.

Karim Khalili is a 2022 Olympic bronze medalist in the relay, a bronze medalist at the 2021 World Championships in the relay, and a multiple medalist at the European Championships.

Earlier, on January 18, five-time Olympic champion Norwegian 31-year-old biathlete Johannes Bø announced the end of his career. At the world championships Bø 20 times rose to the top step of the podium, 12 times he was given to win silver, five more times he won bronze awards. Five times Bø won the World Cup.
