Motorized riflemen in the border area of the Kursk region showed trophy AFU equipment
On January 23, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the results of the combat work of servicemen of a motorized rifle regiment as part of the "North" group of troops to destroy armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the liberated village of Russkoye Porechnoye in Kursk Region.
"We have all become relatives here, we are friends with everyone. When there was an assault, civilians were found, they were already dead. Ours, of course, were, you understand, they keep them there so that we can't pass, because they cover themselves with peaceful people. They fled, they fled to Cherkasskoye, to Paris. Because they are afraid, because their commanders have abandoned them," said a squad commander with the call sign Tatar.
Soldiers of one of the motorized rifle regiments of the "North" group of troops demonstrated trophies captured in the liberated village of Russkoye Porechnoye in Kursk Region.
The battalion commander with the call sign Wanderer demonstrated captured hand grenades, machine guns and other Western-made weapons. In particular, he showed hand grenades manufactured in the United States, Germany and Belgium, including the American M67 and the German DM-51A2.
The Russian motorized riflemen also seized two American M240 machine guns, a Swedish AT-4 disposable grenade launcher and the Ukrainian equivalent of the American Mk-19 automatic machine grenade launcher with ammunition.
The fighters also described atrocities committed by Ukrainian servicemen.
"Russian Parechnoye inspected to the basement the presence, as they say, enemy soldiers. Accordingly, here, found a civilian. Standard inspection. Came down, a sharp odor, accordingly, began to inspect. At first we thought it was the AFU soldiers, but it turned out to be peaceful. Women, men. Bullet holes in all of them, shrapnel. Most likely threw a grenade, and then just crushed", - shared the commander of the department with the call sign Ksei.
Earlier, on January 22, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of objective control of the destruction of an AFU tank by the calculation of the Lancet barrage munition of the group of troops "North" in the border area of Kursk region.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
