"People's Front" and "Roscosmos" announced plans to open five "cosmoclasses"
The "People's Front" movement together with the state corporation "Roscosmos" on January 23 announced plans to open five "space classes" in new regions.
"This is a unique moment, because "Roskosmosom" together with the "People's Front" on the instructions of the President descends the project of equipping classes throughout the country, it is the creation of space classes. And at the moment we are collecting parcels that will be sent to the new regions of our country", - said the ambassador of the "People's Front" Polina Tsvetkova.
Dozens of classrooms in the new territories will be equipped with computers, interactive whiteboards, kits for assembling a mini-satellite.
"Roscosmos and other space companies face the task of developing multi-satellite constellations, and here is such a constructor allows to immerse children in the task of creating satellites as effectively as possible," commented Dmitry Shishkin, director of the administrative department of Roscosmos.
The task of the "Space Class" project is to make Russian space education as accessible as possible, thanks to which the guys will then come to study at specialized universities, colleges and later to work at the company.
"We are interested in the rejuvenation of the industry, in the arrival of young, inquisitive minds to us, so this work does not stop for a minute," - said the commander of the cosmonaut squadron "Roscosmos" Oleg Kononenko.
Earlier, January 10, Director General of "Roscosmos" Yuri Borisov called the Russian system of cosmonaut training the best in the world. According to him, the domestic system of preparation for space flight remains the best as before.
Prior to that, on December 24, 2024, Borisov said that Russia is in third place in creating a national space constellation. According to him, the constellation currently has about 288 satellites. In 2024, Roscosmos launched 99 new vehicles, not counting the Resurs-P satellite planned for the end of the year.
