Russia may introduce a ban and administrative responsibility for photographing and videotaping air defense facilities (their location and operation). The government commission on prevention of offenses under the leadership of Vladimir Kolokoltsev instructed the Ministry of Defense to work on this issue. The document was familiarized with "Izvestia". Specific measures that will be applied to violators, it does not name.

"To recommend the Ministry of Defense of Russia with the participation of interested public authorities to work out the issue of establishing in the legislation of the Russian Federation a ban on photo and video filming of air defense facilities, other military infrastructure and administrative responsibility for its violation," the document says.

It also proposes to inform the commissions about the work done on this instruction until July 1, 2025.

"Izvestia" sent requests to the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to comment on the reason for this order.
