"Zenit" has announced the transfer of Claudinho to Qatari "Al-Sadd"
Brazilian midfielder Claudinho moved from St. Petersburg soccer club (FC) Zenit to Qatari Al-Sadd. This was reported on January 22 in the press service of the blue-white-and-white blues.
"FC Zenit thanks Claudinho for his dedication and genuine love for the game, which the midfielder demonstrated in every match for the Blue and White Blues," the statement reads.
The 27-year-old has played for Zenit since August 2021. He participated in 124 matches, scored 21 goals and made 31 assists.
As a member of FC Claudinho became the champion of Russia three times, won the Cup of the country once and won the Super Cup three times.
Earlier, on December 13, 2024, soccer clubs (FC) Zenit, Spartak, Lokomotiv and Krasnodar were included in the top 200 of the updated club ranking of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). "Zenit" is on the 112th position.
On the same day it was reported that in St. Petersburg 2025 was declared the Year of "Zenit". The decision was made in connection with the fact that in the coming year the soccer club will celebrate its 100th anniversary, it was announced by the city governor Alexander Beglov.
