UAZ improved the quality of car painting
Ulyanovsk automobile plant has launched a modernized painting line. A source at the domestic enterprise told Izvestia on January 23.
The new equipment for priming the body of UAZ and Sollers models "will significantly increase the degree of preparation of cars for paint coating and the efficiency of the production process as a whole," he noted.
This involves the introduction of high-tech robots that optimally distribute the primer over the entire body surface in two layers. Uniform application of the base composition ensures high quality and durability of the car paintwork, the plant said.
The first batch of cars painted by this technology should come off the conveyor belt of Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in the coming weeks.
On January 13, it was reported that UAZ started testing the Patriot with a new diesel engine. The debut of the model is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. The SUV will get the same diesel engine as the UAZ Profi light truck.
January 10, Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant reported that the best-selling in the UAZ model lineup in 2024 were commercial vehicles of the UAZ SGR ("Bukhanka") family. In total, almost 36 thousand UAZ vehicles were sold in Russia in 2024.
