Psychologist Galina Gubanova shared her advice on how to avoid the fear of loneliness. She told "Gazeta.Ru" about it on January 22.

According to her, the fear of loneliness has different underlying causes: from low self-esteem to innate sensitivity to rejection.

She told what should be done to avoid this fear, it is worth increasing self-esteem and awareness of one's own value. Self-esteem can be boosted by any kind of achievement. You can also shift your attention to other activities such as work, study and science.

The specialist added that one should also learn to enjoy loneliness and value it as a time for oneself and realizing one's own goals.

"It is important to realize that another person cannot fill all your needs. He cannot respect you if you don't respect yourself," Gubanova said.

Earlier, on November 27 last year, family psychologist Svetlana Smirnova told about the ways to properly refuse a child. According to her, many parents hesitate when they refuse their child in anything or forbid something, because they are afraid of looking bad or evil in his eyes. To avoid this, every refusal should be explained regardless of the child's age.
