People who introduced themselves as relatives of Menyailo staged a conflict with the traffic police

In North Ossetia, people who introduced themselves as relatives of the head of the region Sergey Menyailo arranged a scandal with traffic police officers. The video appeared in social networks on January 22.

In the video, traffic police officers stopped allegedly relatives of Menyailo and wanted to write a fine for not wearing seat belts. Because of this there was a conflict between them. The video was filmed in the summer of 2024.

"My last name is Menyailo. Do you know such a surname? Expect a doctor in the evening," says the woman in the recording.

She also tried to assure the officers that she could not wear a seatbelt because she gets carsick in the car. The man claimed to be the son of the head of the republic.

There is no confirmation that the people in the videotape are relatives of Menyailo.

Earlier, on January 17, a source of Izvestia reported that fraudsters on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin persuaded a 92-year-old retired intelligence colonel to throw money out the window. According to him, an unknown person called the pensioner and, introducing himself as the mayor of the capital, asked him about the money he had.
