- Pushkov said Trump has destroyed the ideological rift between Russia and the United States
American President Donald Trump has destroyed one ideological rift between the United States and Russia. This was stated by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov on January 22.
"The 'golden age' for America proclaimed by Donald Trump clearly does not imply a 'golden age' for supporters of 'diversity, equality and inclusiveness,' as well as gender reassignment in children," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Pushkov, the new American leader will try to bring the United States "back to its roots." He believes that such a development contributes to bridging the ideological gap between the American and Russian sides.
On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that all the values previously promoted by the United States with Trump's coming to power "flew into the basket." The diplomat specified that this applies not only to the diversity of genders, but also to the attitude to the essence of man.
On January 20, Trump took the oath of office, becoming the 47th president of the United States. After the inauguration ceremony, he signed more than 200 decrees. In particular, he approved decisions to withdraw the country from WHO and create the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Also, the Republican suspended Washington's aid abroad, returned the death penalty at the federal level and postponed the blocking of TikTok. Along with this, Trump rescinded about 80 executive orders of former US President Joe Biden's administration, including on electric cars. He also announced the recognition of only two genders in the US - male and female.
