Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as view a map of military operations as of January 22 in the Izvestiya piece.

It is noted that units of the "West" group of forces liberated the settlement of Zapadnoye in Kharkiv region, units of the "South" group of forces improved their tactical position, and units of the "North" group of forces on the Kharkiv direction defeated formations of the AFU motorized infantry brigade near Volchansk, Kharkiv region.

"Air defense means shot down 114 unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' troop groups hit the AFU's missile and artillery armament depots, drones and fuel and lubricants, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and equipment in 136 areas.

A total of 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 41,148 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,724 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,510 multiple rocket launchers, 20,860 field artillery and mortars, 30,582 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
