Kuban will close ship traffic near the stern of the tanker Volgoneft-212
In Kuban the movement of ships will be closed in the area of the stern of the wrecked tanker "Volgoneft-212". About it on January 22 reports the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region in Telegram-channel.
"In the near future special signs will be installed on the water. Yellow cones and a special figure - top cross - will mean that this section of the water area is closed for the passage of ships over it," - stated in the message.
It is specified that from the shore stern part of "Volgoneft-212" is at a distance of about 11 km.
Earlier, on January 19, in the Kuban specialists cleaned the water area of the Black Sea around the stern of the wrecked tanker "Volgoneft-239". It was reported that excavators collected residues of fuel oil, as well as pulled out of the water and sent for disposal hog barriers.
Tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" due to bad weather crashed in the Kerch Strait on December 15, 2024. The incident resulted in a spill of oil products. 27 people were evacuated from both vessels, one person died.
